Our new camera is proving to be very popular with clients. We use this camera for detecting the difference in heat temperatures which can reveal water leaks, Termites/rodent infestation and Plumbing issues. Our inspections cover the use of the Infrared Camera detection outcome and are used in our reports, building, structural and Termite if required.
A thermal camera can help you detect a problem prior to removal of walls floors and ceilings. A non- destructive inspection is carried out which can highlight missing insulation, water damage, and plumbing issues. Saves time and money.
- Water leaks, moisture and mould detection – A client of ours recently had water damage on the ceiling, when we used the camera to track the leak we found a faulty pipe from the air-conditioning system. The air con system was repaired and our maintenance and repair team replaced/repaired the roof with plasterboard. The business owner was thankful we resolved the problem before it became a major issue.
Leaky water pipes in bathrooms can be detected, Leaks in roof pipes and blockages in down pipes.
- We can use the Thermal imagining camera for detecting Termites in the roof, these can be very difficult to spot generally because of the habits of the termites they live in the far corners of the roof and in darkness can generally be missed with a general torch. With the camera their body temperature and movement is shown clearly on the infrared camera search. Other insects and rodents can also be detected behind walls and roof spaces.
- The camera is so efficient it can detect the levels of insulation behind your walls and see precisely where any air leakage is escaping from. The infrared thermal imaging camera detects the difference in heat signatures. In old homes that lack insulation, we can clearly see the defined studs in the walls, during the winter months in a home that is well insulated, the stud cavities show up a yellow color because the insulation keeps the walls warm.
